the fader: photo essays

the fader is looking for photo essays to run in the magazine.
our essays tend to come a little from left field, whether it be stephen dupont’s rascols or aaron huey’s pine ridge essay. the magazine is always more interested if the work comes from a personal place and isn’t driven by a forced agenda like so many agency essays which seem to be conceived with the idea of selling the story rather than from the photographers’ true passion of making photos from a personal perspective. essays should be relevant and in some way fit the fader’s demographic but do not need to be music related. for more examples of essays the fader has run check out thefader.com go to magazine back issues the best issues to check are #30, #38 and #46

Will a PhotoShelter lightbox work? I’ve got some visual wit that might be of interest.

Cheers,
