Anyone want to sell me a Hexar AF?

Looking for a Konica Hexar AF, with silent mode. Looking at ebay of course, but wanted to canvas good old LS to see whether someone here might want to part with a film camera they no longer use.

Jon, just FYI, there is a hack to add silent mode to an Hexar that does not come with it.

Sold mine to a guy that has loads of them. Will check to see if he is willing to sell one. Mind you, like so many photographers, I wish I still had mine.

How’re things?

who is repairing them now?

Thanks Paul, do that for me, I appreciate it. Jay, down here, as in all things, we fix em ourselves, bit of spit and gum and imagination. Like the car I drive, a 30 yr old mercedes diesel, we keep things running in a crude but workable fashion. ¡uepa!

I’ve kept my faithful Nissan Sentra from 1993 running the same way. 152 thou on clock. Body work beginning to come undone (what with New York City potholes) but engine is perfect. Amazing how two stroke motorcycle knowledge transfers to econobox cars of that era.

I was looking for one a few months ago and came across some at www.keh.com, but I don’t see any in stock right now. It may be worth checking the page every once in awhile though. Good luck, Jon.

Jon, not sure if you have actually tried one or seen one before but in my experience the framing of the finder is nowhere near accurate – MUCH worse than an M6 for instance. Everyone’s tolerance for this sort of thing varies of course but in my case it was enough to make me sell the camera despite the great lens. Saludos,
Pablo
